His most recent controversy is calling out colleague and UFC Champion Alex Periera. As of yesterday, he is quoted as saying that the fighter couldn't beat "a single guy in the top five."

Brendan Schaub is a former heavy-weight mixed martial artist who competed in the UFC. After a string of losses and being unhappy with a UFC/Reebok endorsem*nt deal, Schaub ventured into the ever-growing world of podcasting. He then added a career as a stand-up comic to his resume.
Schaub’s shtick of saying some pretty outrageous things and his … unique brand of comedy has, in all fairness, garnered him many fans. His work ethic has earned him the respect of his peers, like Joe Rogan, who has been dealing with his own controversy as of late.
7 A Little Info On Bobby Lee, Khalyla Kuhn, And TigerBelly
Bobby Lee entered the world of stand-up comedy back in 1994, but rose to fame on the sketch comedy show Mad TV. After a long stint on the show (before being fired twice for substance abuse, which the comedian has struggled with as recently as 2020), and a series of roles in film and TV, Lee launched the TigerBelly podcast in 2015 with Khalyla Kuhn.

6 Lee, Schaub, And Kuhn Were Quite Friendly In The Past
The trio of Brendan Schaub, Bobby Lee, and Khalyla Kuhn shared a mutual friendship in the past. Bobby Lee has made several appearances on The Fighter and the Kid podcast, while Schaub has been a guest on TigerBelly.
Schaub has mentioned that he considers Lee to be one of his good friends, and both he and Lee’s partner, Khalyla, have shared a few innocent flirtatious comments during Schaub’s TigerBelly appearances (perhaps not so innocent after the show? Yeah, more on that later).
5 It All Started With A DM From Mr. Schaub
On an episode of Trash Tuesday, a podcast hosted by Khalyla Kuhn, comedian Annie Lederman, and actress Esther Povitsky, Lederman mentioned that after a comedy set, a certain unnamed comedian with the initials “B.S.” asked her to walk him to her truck, and it seemed as though he assumed it would end with a sexual favor for the party in question.
Lederman stated that she immediately turned “B.S.” down. This led to Khalyla responding with, “He came for me so hard, and we know his chick.” Eventually, Kuhn revealed three years ago on New Year's Eve, while eating dinner with his family, “B.S.” had messaged her, asking, “What are you doing later?” It was eventually revealed that “B.S.” was indeed Brendan Schaub.

4 Schaub Has Found Himself Under Fire From YouTubers As Of Late
Schaub has drawn the ire of content creators across YouTube recently. Allegedly stemming from The Tax Collector actor recently suing a YouTuber over jokes made, Schaub has become the subject of mockery and ridicule for his recent behavior. YouTubers that would otherwise be apathetic toward Schaub are now focused on following his actions on the platform and reporting any false claims. The comedian has become a rather large target for content creators on the platform. Not a good look.
3 Schaub Made An Appearance On The TigerBelly Podcast In An Effort To Clear His Name
After the revelations on Trash Tuesday, Schaub responded with allegations that Bobby Lee or employees of the TigerBelly podcast were responsible for a slanderous SubReddit devoted to sullying his name, among other nasty tidbits. This would result in Schaub and podcast co-host Bryan Callen (mostly Callen) verbally assaulting Lee and Kuhn over the phone.
In an attempt to clear his name, Schaub appeared on the TigerBelly podcast. The result was a long conversation between Lee, Schaub, and Kuhn, with Schaub claiming he had evidence to back up his claim and Kuhn stating that she did not believe the Fighter and the Kid host. The show ended with nothing being resolved.
2 Kuhn Roasted Schaub And Spoke About His ‘Evidence’ On Trash Tuesday
Kuhn spoke about Schaub’s TigerBelly appearance on the following Trash Tuesday. Kuhn brought her co-hosts up to speed about the events that transpired and made a point of explaining and mocking Schaub’s “evidence” before making it known that she has no fear of Schaub and any other “evidence” moving forward. There has been nothing from Schaub since.
1 What Does The Future Hold For Brendan Schaub?
With his latest special The Gringo Papi being panned across the board, select YouTubers are taking aim at everything with Schaub’s name attached to it, and even other comedians are beginning to make their feelings known. The future may not be as bright as the former mixed martial artist though it would be. To quote the Gringo Papi himself, this situation is currently pretty “Dicey, Dicey!”
